Dragonfly First Page complete!

I am pleased to say that I finished Page 1 of Dragonfly today:

DH and I will be away for five weeks travelling through remote parts of Australia and I will be working on Please My Wings Take Me Away and TW's Millennium, the latter being DS' very belated 21st birthday present.

My progress on Millennium - this was from a long time ago when I thought I could finish it before his 21st!  LOL:

I will see you all in June!

IHSW update

I got to work on Dragonfly this weekend.  I am really pleased with my progress on Page 1:

Blodeuwedd has been getting some work done on her as well, but didn't get worked on this weekend:

I received Alice and Snow White as my purchase rewards chart.

As HAED was moving, I didn't expect an email from them until later this week.  HAED have my highest regard for customer service with 123 stitch a close second, if not equal first - I would recommend them both without hesitation.

IHSW this weekend

Yay! It is IHSW this weekend. I am planning on working on Dragonfly and Blodeuwedd in Bloom, so we will see how much I get done.

On another note, Michele from Heaven and Earth is moving and she sent her loyal newsletter subscribers a voucher for 50% off. It is official, I have absolutely no willpower!

Here is what I scored:

A Princess is Born
QS Ruby
Snow Girl
So Many Books, So Little Time
The Beggar Princess
Three Worlds
Turandot

I am eligible for another reward chart, but I will wait until after Michele is settled before I email her about it.

**Note:  Just a quick note about my rewards chart, this particular program was notified to HAED newsletter subscribers and I am unsure if/when it will be put on the HAED website.
This program is different to the rewards program that is on the HAED website where you received a chart of lesser or equal value for finishing a purchased chart (conditions apply) - please see the website for further details.

Happy IHSW!!!!!

Dragonfly New Start Update

As you know, DH and I spent a few days away celebrating our anniversary and enjoyed soaking our work weary bodies in the Artesian Springs.  I managed to finish half a page of my "new" start Dragonfly and here is my progress:

I also saw that HAED is having another sale and DD fell in love with two new Faces of Faery.  I couldn't resist picking up a couple that I had on my wishlist as well:

Faces of Faery 162
 Faces of Faery 168
 Faces of Faery 185
 Faces of Faery 187

Update

Would you believe I still haven't got to the store to buy a skein of 907?  It seems really hard to go for just one item.  In the meantime, I have worked on Sunny SK and finished the first page:

The HAED BB is having a SAL this week for either discontinued artists or a new start and I have been itching to re-start Dragonfly:

It is going to be weird stitching the first two pages again, but I am looking forward to it.

I also realised that I had been posting faithfully for the WIPocalypse, but not signing myself up and adding my link each month on Measi's blog, so I will continue with my goals, but I don't expect to be eligible for anything else that is being offered.

I am off on holidays next week for a short break before Easter.  DH and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage - boy, they went past so fast!

Have a great week everyone!

Liebster Blog Award

Liebster is a German word, meaning favorite, dearest or beloved, and the Liebster is awarded by bloggers to other, newer bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers, to spread the word and help the new(er)bies gain wider recognition.

The award comes with four conditions that each recipient must satisfy when accepting:

1. Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with fewer than 200 followers) to award the Liebster to.

Now this is hard because I love each and every blog that I read and to choose just 5 and also as others are receiving this award, I would probably accidently pick the same person (my luck)

2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.

I am a bit late in thanking Adrienne from Tryllacraft for awarding me the Liebster Blog Award. I haven't linked back to her blog because it seems to be missing from my reading list for some reason (perhaps Blogger is playing up, who knows!).

3. Post the award on your blog. List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blogs so they know about the award.

4. Share five random facts about yourself that people don't know about you.

a.  I have a dual love of Cross Stitch and Patchwork, which means that I am very conflicted on what I should be working on and because of this, it takes me twice as long to finish things.

b.  I have only travelled overseas three times, twice to New Zealand and once to Fiji.

c.  DH and I have bought a caravan, an Eco-tourer, to travel around in during our holidays.  We love it because is it aerodynamic with the car and great on fuel economy.  Has some great features inside as well.

d.  I have been cross stitching since 1991 after progressing from long stitch and tapestry.  I haven't looked back.

e.  I can't think of a fifth random fact.

IHSW

This weekend was IHSW and I worked on Sapphire until I ran out of 907 - I should have realised with this particular colour being a blend for two symbols as well as its own symbol that I needed more than one skein, but that's life, isn't it?  I will pick another skein up this week.

Once I ran out of 907, I worked on Forbidden Doorway SK and I am quite pleased with my progress this far.  I better get a move on, as we receive the second page in April.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, whether or not they got to stitch!

Oh, I was tempted yet again by the St Patrick's Day Sale at HAED:

Leaf

Masquerade Pale Dawn

QS Clara

Wildwood Dancing
