June already!

Where has the month gone? I realise that I was away for half of May, but seriously this year is flying by.

This weekend I went on a cross stitch retreat with some of the other ladies in my area and we had a fantastic time! I relaxed and got some stitching done on Burlesque Zombie, although either a change of project or new start is calling to me.

Return and a finish!

Well, I am back from holidays feeling refreshed, but not really wanting to go back to work yet. If only I was the mysterious winner of the $31 million in last week's lotto.... Sigh.....

Anyway, if wishes were fishes we would all be fed. I did get some progress on DD's 21st present:

In amazing news, Mum has finished Nautilus Princess!!!! Here she is proudly holding it - she wanted to hide behind it, but I wouldn't let her! LOL

April!

Where has the year gone? One minute we are planning our new starts for the year and here we are 4 months into it!

I did a little bit on Rose Cerise, I was hoping to take it to show the boys at SewItAll.com.au when they were at the Brissy show, but I didn't feel I achieved enough, and of course I didn't take a photo before she went away - next time!

I am going to try and work on DD's 21st birthday present - Burlesque Zombie Portrait from the book Twisted Stitches. Here are my before and after shots:

I have placed myself on a chart stash ban for a little while, as I really need to get some stitching done and perhaps kit some projects up. I need to be a little more disciplined this year, as I have two birthday presents to finish - DS' 21st present is so far overdue that I thought he had forgotten about it, but no such luck! LOL

I did sneak in kitting up Dragonfly Fairy by Joan Elliott with the beautiful 36ct Bluescape fabric from SewItAll.com.au that I won from Alicia's blog ages ago, but when this will be started, I have no idea! Maybe after I get the kids off my back for theirs, then I am free to stitch whatever I want!!

Mum has only 2 full pages and 4 small pages to finish on Nautilus Princess, go MUM!!
